MELBOURNE :D

The bestest ever, and theres so many things i want to talk about,
and i totally can't rmb them all D: Since we didn't have time to blog
whilst we were there with all the late night rushing for cmps,
kudos to emily's post which i'm going to use here to help me blog haha.

The melbourne stay was absolutely fantastically awesome.
The australians are such nice,friendly people, totally opposite of Singaporeans.
Yeah, the first few days we were there, everytime we walked into shops we would
always be super shy and all cause the shop keepers would always go like HELLO LADIES
very warmly to which we would all look at each other for about 3 seconds before anyone said anything. But towards the later few days we would all be like HELLO! straight away, HAHA
contagious! Man if we did things like this in singapore we would get weird stares!

All these sleepless nights in melbourne, tears were shed, hardwork was put in
and though we didnt win the grand champion, (we were 5 marks away btw),
we were invited to states :D
We secretly stayed up the night before the night before the comp till 3 am to
do last minute things, even though lights out was at 10.30? So 5 of us were
hiding in em's and dayna's room, and someone suddenly knocked on our door at 2.30
which drove me steph and chong to dash to the cupboards/toilets to hide. But we never
found out who it was since we were too afraid to open up.
& Speaking about the championships, we were really very sad that we didn't win,
since we thought we weren't able to go to michigan, and that we let down lin and jan,
& all we could think was how to break the news to them. So when they announced our names,
all of us had to plaster smiles on our faces, and even though we were happy, we were still
disappointed that we weren't able to go to US as a full team. After that, we sat there for another one hour or so, thinking that we weren't going to michigan. Then announcements were made saying groups going to michigan needed to stay behind for a briefing and ms ong asked us to stay behind. & we were totally like HUH for what D: We're not even going, & then ms ong was like WHAT. YOU GUYS ARE GOING WHAT. Didn't you hear top 2 groups can go?!
& we were like . . . WHATTTTTTT THEEEEE. to which we all started screaming and crying and hugging and crying. Gosh none of us heard that lah, and we sat through an hour of torture, and if we knew we were going we could have smiled and been so much happier going down to receive our medals and smiling for the photos. Then all we thought of was that Thank God, we can go to US as a full group now, all 7 of us :D


The St Joseph College guys were so supportive of our project,
constantly encouraging us. Sadly they didnt make it to the states finals,
but we were glad we met them, they really made our day:D
Yeah, we kept on bumping into them, like they were sitting at me, chong and steph's table
at the international opening dinner, and in front of our booth at the fair. They made a deal
that if we both went to US they would buy our shirts, D: But like em said it was really sad
they didn't make it.
They were really nice to us too after we were announced second, asking us if we were alright and all. Plus, many other people who visited our booth during the cmps fair were really really supportive and it really felt like people cared about our project, and seeing their reactions to
us explaining about the culling and all, yeah it made us see how rewarding our project has been,
and made us want to work harder :D
Some of the junior groups were really impressive too, esp this one group of 11/12 year olds doing integration of refugees, and they were so passionate about their project and cause, it really inspired me and dayna (:

Watched the musical "Wicked" today, a backstory of how the Wizard of the Oz came about. The 3-hour long musical was fantastic, fantastic singing, acting.
I LOVE WICKED, explains why up to now we're still singing it!
Gosh the guy playing fiyero has AN AMAZING VOICE.
HAHA i remember there was this line where glinda said:
We're engaged/married but he doesn't know it yet.
AND omg dayna em steph and chong all turned around to stare
at me cause i always say the exact same thing about me and jong HAHA.

We are only like $200 rich now... got fined $25
for being 4 min and 20s late. sigh such waste of money.
SIGH, ME AND DAYNA & STEPH got fined 30 D:
eunice, eenette, dayna and I bought university of melbourne sweaters... ahh its so comfy.
YEAHH! the sweaters are so comfy, and warm considering melbourne made me freeze even though its what spring?
.Dont worry guys i bought stuff for you guys:D prepare to receive your gifts when i come back from melbourne tomorrow!
We spent 70% of shopping time gift shopping aha :D

We also met up with Peiqi like 4/5 days i think :D
& she brought us around to eat and buy things :D
It was really good to see her again ahaa, Thanks for everything!

I DONT WANT TO LEAVE MELBOURNE! I LOVE MELBOURNE.
I MISS MELBOURNE SO SO MUCH.
Even though we nearly triggered the smoke alarm while attempting
to fry fish fingers for our supper D: I was gone for a while & when i came back
steph and chong turned the whole room into A SMOKE CAVERN D:
gah good times good times :D


Sunday
Was down with a high fever last night D:
Quite bad, the worst in a very long time,
but i woke up this morning much better.
Didn't go to church, and i spent the whole day
12 hours from 10am to 10pm watching
taiwan dramas - hotshot/lan qiu huo
Gah its really really nice :D Plus jerry yan is :D goodness lah he's practically
30 plus and he still looks so YOUNG? gahh love him!
Almost as much as jong, ALMOST.

& speaking of jonghyun,
i just watched Shinee's comeback performance of
their new song Amigo on youtube,
and when jonghyun started singing at 10 secs,
I Totally couldn' t recognise him, cause
HE CUT HIS HAIR. zomgggg, why jong why!
I loved his hair please D: even juliet and everyone
agreed it was so soft and silky and Nice goshgosh.
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:
I Replayed the 10 secs about 3 times, and still couldn't
believe it was him.

WAHA, i influed em to watch the drama since 10 am too,
so in essence she completed 13 episodes in a day.
Goodness, i completed 8.
